Redeeming itunes card?

I just got a 25$ itunes gift card. I went to go redeem the card and it said i had to make an itunes account. I went to go make the account and it asked for my credit card number and all that. I tried to skip pass it but it wouldnt allow me. How do i redeem my card without making an account?
