Redesigning my room. Need help with colors and bedspreds!?

Question

I am eleven, and am in the process of redesigning my room. Usually every other year we re-do it, but this year my parents said i have to keep my room like this until i go to college. I am going into seventh grade so i have a long time with this new design. I wantacute and classy room for when i am still a pre-teen but also want something sophisticated, so when i get older i can still have my friends hang out and not think i have a really kiddie room. I am open to all suggestions. Please include a link with a bedspread, and mention a wall color that could go with it. Please hurry, dont have much time. WALL COLOR CANT BE DARK ex. red, brown, purple(unless it is lavender)

My sister did a Paris theme! She hung cafe pics. on her walls. She also made a bulletin baord. Cover it with black cloth then put white ribbon going diaganal one way then they other. Paint your room light blue, with a light blue bed spread. And have some shadow art and a desk! and with cute black letters put your name on the wall!

Paint the wall a neutral color.  Then as the years go on, you can just change up your window coverings, bed spread and such.  Also, get those wall decals that just peel off. Use a variety of colors and prints..like turquoise and pink w/ leopard print.

nowadays teens think its cool to have a kiddie room.

When my daughters best friend stayed the night (16yrs old) she thought the coolest thing about our house was the fact my daughter has spiderman bedsheets.

But if you still want it classy

I suggest Bed Bath and Beyond.

They have a wonderful section for bedding, and its very sophisticated.

A light pink wall with cast iron bed frame and furniture would be very nice.

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. I think "drama violet" (# 6978) would be a great color choice.

i suggest since you have to have it while you are older to that you make one wall white and do a black zebra print over it. on the other walls put any color as an accent color. for your bedspread just use a solid black with colored sheets and pillows to match the rest of the room. pink and turquoise look great with zebra print. i hope i helped(:
