Question:

Redistribution of wealth?

Seems like a bad idea doesn't it?

It kills the American Dream - why work hard if that money will just go to the high school dropouts down the street? Why waste the effort putting yourself through medical school when you have to pay more taxes because the other guy had to drop out of high school and now flips burgers?

Regardless of who you vote for... who can think this is a good idea?

  1. it sucks some guys have billions of dollars and the next person cant make it from week to week, none of these policticions can relate to us.

  2. That's not a constitutional role, and technically unconstitutional and illegal. I totally agree. And BTW: there is no such thing as "fair share" if there was no welfare there'd be very few bums (starve, charity, or actually work), and we'd be able to keep most of our money. Why should I work to support some welfare panhandler?

  3. I agree with you so long as those that have remember that they have a moral obligation to make the wold a better place and giving of their own free will to assist those who have less than they need to live a healthy life.

  4. some people flip burgers while in college...why should the burger flipper pay SS tax on every dime they make, but the CEO of McDonalds only has to pay SS tax on his first 250k ?

Doesn't sound like redistribution to me...sounds like the rich will be paying their fair share once Obama is elected !
