Tottenham Hotspur’s manager, Harry Redknapp has admitted that he is very disappointed with the way his side lost to Manchester United, considering they were the better team in the game.
United and Tottenham took on each other in a game that was a must win for both the team’s involved. The Red Devils needed the win to close the gap between them and Manchester City, while Tottenham needed to win, to stay near the league leaders, while maintaining
a gap between themselves and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429.
However, following the loss, Tottenham’s third spot finish is now in doubt, as the team is only four points ahead of Arsenal, who seem to have finally picked up their form as the season nears its conclusion.
Despite his side losing the game, Redknapp has hailed his team’s performance and admitted that his side were just unlucky in the game, which is why they ended up losing out to a very clinical Manchester United.
A very disappointed Harry Redknapp, when talking about the game and how each goal destroyed him on the inside is quoted to have said: "I thought we were outstanding, how we came in 1-0 down at half-time, I couldn't believe it, it was soul destroying"
He then went on to reveal that his side looked far superior when compared to United in the first half and the way his midfield played, he had no complaints from them.
"First half we made them look ordinary.”
"Livermore and Sandro did everything I asked them to do, they pressed Scholes and Carrick, got in amongst them, we stopped them playing balls into Rooney and we dominated them.”
The Spurs boss then ended by admitting that this is just how football is, since teams can dominate a game, but in the end they end up losing to their opponents, who just took their chances.
"Brad's [Friedel] never had a shot to save, apart from the three goals I can't remember him having a save to make. But that's how it goes, sometimes you get the breaks when things are going well. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Good-Luck-c39444 to them, they are a top team, but I can't fault my
players."
