Tottenham Hotspur’s manager, Harry Redknapp has admitted that he is a little worried about the situation at the club.
At the start of 2012, many believed that Tottenham might be able to compete with Manchester United and Manchester City, as they looked to be in the best form that they had displayed in recent months.
However, following their defeat to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, the team seemed to hit rock bottom and is still trying to recover from that loss.
With the team losing another game last night, Newcastle United went on to overtake Tottenham and claim the fourth spot in the league.
Spurs are now sitting in the fifth spot, with just one point separating them from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, who occupy the sixth spot in the league table.
Harry Redknapp was asked whether he was worried about how his team had been playing and how they seemed to have lost their form and morale.
In response to those questions, the Spurs manager responded by stating: "I’m obviously concerned.”
"I was disappointed last week at Wembley [following a 5-1 defeat to Chelsea] but before that I’ve only seen one bad performance and that was against Norwich.”
“Other than that I couldn’t sit here and say we’ve been playing badly – we haven’t. We didn’t play badly today, we’ve come here, had the whole game but just couldn’t get a break.”
However, the manager went on to end on a high note, as he insisted that his side were still looking to secure a top four finish and that they were going to try their best to do so.
The manager then went on to add:  “I’m very confident we can still get top four. I can’t see Chelsea losing too many, they look very strong.”
"It’s not going to be easy, we’re fighting for our lives. We’re fighting for Champions League football."
Redknapp was previously being linked as the favourite to come in and take over as England’s manager, based on how he had been performing with Tottenham.
However, with his side falling from grace, it is a wonder if the manager is still going to be offered the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 before the Euros kick off.
