Redley Rage prominent in the BGRF Owners Bonus Series Final
Qualifying as the finalists of the Grade A2 BGRF Owners Bonus Series indicates volumes about the potential and ability of the candidates. They will race over 470 metres flat at Belle Vue on Thursday, 29th November. Seeking their share in the total prize money of £500 are, Dacent Acorn, Redley Rage, Rebellious Style, Tyrur Craig, Milan Castle and Black Rock.
The most promising entry and thusly highly likely for taking back the winner’s prize money to the kennel is the two-year-old black hound, Redley Rage. He is very lightly raced, having started the racing profession this season and that too in June.
He gradually progressed through the Grade A races after the training sessions. His efforts for improving and leaving a lasting mark through the performances, has shone the brightest in the last four outings.
The dark hound qualified as the runner-up in the Grade A2 470 metres flat race on 14th November, 2012 at Belle Vue over 470 metres. Redley Rage broke from the third trap. He had no option but to check on the level of competition when racing in the second position. Getting challenged when racing in for the wire had him missing the winner’s enclosure by ¾ of a length.
The race was won by, Johnny Sash, in 28.39 seconds.
The R. Fielding trained then bucked up on the level of conviction and raced like a champion in the very next outing.
Farloe Reason’s son notched up the second position to success on 22nd November, 2012 in the first heat of the Grade A2 BGRF Owners Bonus Series at Belle Vue over 470 metres.
The two-year-old took on the challenge from the second trap and made sure that he had set himself apart from the rest of the competition. Racing in the middle of the track had him making the transit to the other end in 28.28 seconds.
His leading point of a length had Milan Castle, the favourite entry, making peace with the second position.
He is backed by 2 to 1 odds for the contest tonight and will get a chance to experiment on the racing tactic from the second trap.
