I am redoing three small rooms total usable space 7 1/2 feet by 13 feet 10 inches into two bathrooms. I am looking for suggestions for floor plans and layouts. One door will be on the right end, 7 1/2 foot side and one will be on the side to the left of the 13'10" wall. I don't have any options in this area to enlarge. Thanks

  1. Since you need a blueprint drawing to show county or city inspectors to get a permit anyways, I'd hire a draftsman or architect to show you options. They're not as expensive as people think, and they can assist with all the small details (load bearing issues, ventilation, electrical) that you might overlook. Good luck.

  2. Have you looked online for architectural plans?  You could probably get some ideas from plans that you can view online.  I have worked in the remodeling business for over 10yrs, and it's hard to just give ideas by words alone, you know?  I think it's best to see visually.

Although these are whole-house plans, you can enlarge the plan and check out the bathroom areas for layout ideas:   www.frankbetz.com.

I've used his plans before, so that's why I'm suggesting him.  But google other architects' sites.  You may find something that works for you on someone else's site.  Good luck!
