any opinions/advice is welcomed!!

(19 yr old boy's room)

going to paint the room forrest green compared to the bright light blue now.

How do we fill in holes? - plaster?

we both have never painted a room- any advice?

Ceiling is also written on- should it be painted the same color as wall?

and to ensure no one will write on walls - i found metal letters in a store. would i be able to spray paint/paint them and nail them to the wall? or will nails not do the job?

thank you!!

  1. You may be taking on a little more than your ready for.First holes in walls are fixed by cutting out a straight square from stud to stud and replacing the square with a new piece of drywall. This applies to any hole larger than a fist.Fist size holes can be done by s******g a small board across the inside of the wall and then s******g a patch piece of drywall into the hole. Then it must be taped and textured with drywall compound and tape.Use primer on the walls and ceiling then paint.Doors are installed into door jams is the jam there or do you need a jam as well? The idea with the letters should work if their not too heavy.

  2. For the holes, yes use plaster and then sand it down. Use painters tape and cover up the baseboard and door frames etc. Trust me it will save a lot of time instead of going back and trying to take the paint off later. As fir the ceiling...It depends on what kind of ceiling it is, and also what kind of room. It might be overwhelming having the ceiling the same colour as the walls. And it can make the room look smaller than it is. And the metal letters, use a drill and screws to put them in the wall.
