Redoing my bedroom, and I need some help!

Question

My parents have finally agreed to let me move into the basement (it's already finished..) after always sharing a room with my sister.

It's really big, and it is a bit of an L shape (but the top and bottom are closer in size).

My Ideas So Far:

I want close off the top of the "L" and make that my closet/dressing area; I'm going to put bar thingys (like in closets) on one wall (two, the bottom one being shorter), a shoe/handbag/folded clothes storage unit on one wall, and a vanity on the other.

In the other part of the "L," there will be my bed, entertainment center, desk, and bookcase.

I want to decorate/set up my closet like a boutique.

What do you think?

How can I decorate the closet like a boutique (besides having racks and stuff like that)?

How should I decorate the main part of my room?

Do you have any store recommendations? I want to try and stay under $5,000, if possible.

Well I think your closet idea is awesome, and since you seem to sound like the girly type, get the walls painted a hot pink or something.

Since I love interior decorating this may get long...

So I would deffiantly go with Black, white, and pink for the closet. Pbteen has a dress form that would look great in there.

and I would get like an attomon sp? for the middle of the closet.

go with a white vanity. and any other detailing needing fabric, pick a great swirly black & white pattern.
