Redring economy 7 heater?

Question

I have a timed electronic controller heater in my new flat. I have set it to come on in offpeak hours which looks like it has a 4 hour stretch between 2am and 6am. Does this mean the heter is on for the whole 4 hours in the night or is it set for say, an hour between this time. The manual is no help and surely 4 hours on economy 7 is dearer that 1 hour in peak time? Sorry boring question but im stuck!

its on between the hours you set, try to minimise the time its on, to be honest there rubbish, if you can get a digital type but make sure it can cope with your heater ( usually 3kw)
