According to reports, Liverpool are on the verge of signing AS Roma striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Borini-c13163 for an estimated 11 million pounds transfer fee. A formal announcement in this regard is expected to be made by the end of the weekend.
Earlier, the player’s agent Marco De Marchi had confirmed the striker’s interest in joining the Merseyside club, and revealed that representatives from both, Liverpool and Roma, were carrying out discussions to finalize the terms of the transfer.
The 21-year old arrived at Stadio Olimpico from Parma under a co-ownership deal for an estimated fee of 2.5 million Euros. In addition to that, the Yellow-Reds also paid the player’s agent a lump sum amount of 150,000 Euros for successfully brokering the
deal. The Italian outfit finally secured complete rights over the player almost two weeks ago, costing the club a total of 7 million pounds for the entire deal.
Borini’s arrival to Anfield will mean that the Italian International will be reunited with his former boss, Brendan Rodgers. He played under the Northern Irishman on a brief loan spell during the 2010/11 season for Swansea City. He made 12 appearances for
the Welsh club and scored 6 goals.
He also worked alongside Rodgers at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, who was at that time in charge of the reserve team.
The striker was in sublime form during the second half of the previous season for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603, as he netted 9 goals in just 24 league appearances to help his side secure a seventh place finish in the league. He subsequently received an international call up from
the national manager, Cesare Prandelli for the European Championships.

out of his attacking options ahead of the next season after the Dutchman, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Craig-Bellamy-c9471 and Andy Carroll are the other two attackers who have been linked with a move away from Anfield during the
summer.
