Reports in Greece claim that Liverpool are on the verge of signing Greek international right back Vasilis Torosidis from Olympiakos. The 24-year-old was being tracked by Bayern Munich and Juventus in the summer, but Rafael Benitez is reportedly keen to add him to the ranks at Anfield, especially with Glen Johnson still out with a knee ligament injury. Torosidis is close friends with Reds centre back Sotirios Kyrgiakos.
