Redskins’ LaRon Landry and Santana Moss expected against Seahawks – NFL News
Washington Redskins will play a strong side against Seattle Seahawks in the week 12 game of the National Football League current season as two of their injured players, safety LaRon Landry and wide receiver Santana Moss, are expected
to recover and make it to the final line-up on Sunday.
Landry missed the last game against Dallas Cowboys owing to an injury, but he participated in the practice session on Wednesday and said that he is feeling fit.
“It feels good this week. I'm looking forward to playing on Sunday, I can’t wait,” Landry said.
Landry also missed two games at the start of the season and has appeared in seven games in which he has recorded 44 tackles and 0.5 sacks.
Redskins’ head coach Mike Shanahan welcomed the news of Landry’s comeback and hoped that everything stays fine. "It was good to have him back. It looked like he was moving pretty good. Hopefully, there is no setback,” he said.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Santana Moss also practised on Wednesday after recovering from a fractured hand. Mike Shanahan is also pleased to have him back in the side and believes that his inclusion in the team will strengthen it.
Since week seven, Moss has not entered the field. He has played six games this season and has 25 receives for 301 yards with an average of around 12.0 yards per receive. He also has two touchdowns to his credit.
Moss is feeling hundred per cent and is anxious to play the Sunday’s game. He’s not a bit annoyed with the record his team has maintained so far in the season, and wants to help his teammates improving the team’s statistics.
“After playing for so long, you hate to see somebody playing for you, and then you hate to see us [struggling] right now, not having success. “So anything I can do to help, and just be a presence, I’m looking forward to it.”
Redskins have only won three out of 10 games this season. They have an average of 313.0 yards (229.0 passing yards and 84.0 rushing yards) per game and are currently placed at the bottom of the National Football Conference East
division.
