With running back Chad Simpson needing surgery on his foot, the Redskins will promote James Davis from the practice squad to the 53-man roster Monday, according to two league sources. Adding Davis gives the Redskins much needed depth while Clinton Portis and Ryan Torain recover from injuries. After Simpson went down in pregame warm-ups Sunday and Portis aggravated his groin injury in the first half, rookie Keiland Williams was the team's only healthy running back for the second week in a row.
