He choked. Last I checked he had 2Ks. But hey. He's played for Pittsburgh all his career. He doesn't know hat It feels like to have fans cheering for him. But really He'll get better and after all Manny had games like this. And what's the deal with Manny wearing number 99

Jason Bay had a pretty good Red Sox debut. He scored both runs, and a run saving sliding catch. Manny would have jogged there, let it fall for a basehit, then miss-field the ball.

He's a promising young player and I think he will turn out to be really good in the long run and worth the trade. Manny was getting on the team's nerves already.

He had 2 walks, got hit by a pitch, and hit a triple in the bottom of the 12th inning. He ended up scoring twice, making the only 2 runs we got that game. Learn something

I feel really good about Bay- he scored both runs last night and had a triple.  Had Manny hit the ball to the same spot, he would have only gotten a single because he would of stood at home plate with that stupid hands-up pose, realized the ball wasn't out of the park, and casually jogged to first.

Bay has the opportunity to be a younger, more dedicated, Manny-like player.  He's cheaper, younger, and faster.  I really like his chances to strike it big here in Boston.

How did he choke???? He scored both of our runs in the game. In the clutch, in extra innings he hit a triple off the wall off of Allen Embree. He showed patience and power last night. Yeah he Struck out but hes not use to the pitching at all. It took JD drew a year to get use to it. Although he does not have that time, I was impressed with how he played and how his teammates percieved him. Go Sox!
