Question:

Reduce swelling after wisdom teeth extraction?

i got my wisdom teeth taken out 3 days ago, and they actually needed to take out 5 teeth (two teeth were growing right next to each other). ive been taking pills specifically used to reduce swelling and ive used ice on th first 24 hrs and a hot compress the days following. the swelling has gone down ever so slightly. i was wondering if having my face still swollen was normal, and what can i do to help the swelling to go down faster.

  1. It is normal, wait till the black eyes.

Use SM33 gel on your gums.It helps pain, germs and inflamation.

You can get it from a chemist.

  2. I think it is normal, because I got mine out 4 days ago and I am still swollen.  As for reducing the swelling, your guess is as good as mine.  I guess just keep putting heat on it, and swishing that nasty saltwater to prevent infection.

I feel your pain!  Get better soon!

  3. the swelling is normal and all you can do is keep using the heat compress. it worked really well for mine. it'll go away by itself but theres really nothing to take the swelling away. mine was swollen for about 5 days
