-7x^4 x 56y^3 - 167y^2 + 212y - 112

--------------------------------------...

16(y4 - 4^3 + 4x^2 - 4x + 16y 4y^2 - 16y + 16) (y-2) -8

I was told to reduce this and have no idea how...

Does anyone know how to reduce equations like this? I'm not even sure where to begin...

any help is appreciated.

  1. I think you didn't type it out correctly -- there's a stray x in the top part (between the -7x^4 and the 56y^3) and in the bottom part you have 4^3 which should probably have some sort of variable associated with it I would think.  If you check it and repost it correctly, I'll try to simplify it for you and explain the process.
