Question:

Reducing scars with "pure vitamin E"?

I was told that putting Vitamin E on scars, like after surgery or anything, can reduce scars. Is this true? Is there any other ways to reduce scarring?

  1. Vitamin E does help, though not as much as you might like. The trick is to put it on as soon after your wound is healed as possible. Also, Mederma helps a little (again, put it on early in the game to get maximum benefit). I've heard that pure honey also helps, but I can't confirm that one at all. Maybe just a try it and see kind of thing.

Also, drink a lot of water while you're healing and get enough sleep. That really does make a difference!

  3. i feel it depends on the person. you can it might work. i have tried all those lotions and nothing for me , i have a hugh hip to hip scar and its been 3yrs and nothing yet.

  4. I don't know if it's true???

But i used to cut my wrist and I used some scar remover cream that i got from the drugstore and it worked wonderfully!

Yes Jasmine is me......................... PPL always judge so much more if I say it's me though......... it's so annoying.. UGH..........

I hope the scar stuff works for you too!

  5. Yes Vitamin e oil will help, it might not totally clear the scar but reducing it is better than nothing. Also try cocoa butter cream, I used that for stretch marks and it worked great! I would put on the cocoa butter cream and then waited for a while to pyt on vitamin e oil. I put it on twice a day and right after I took a shower.

  6. I don't know about the pure vitamin E, but I have heard that Mederma for scars really works.  You can get it at any drugstore, Walmart, etc.
