Reduction of water quality standards- why is this a political issue?

Your water quality pervades your life.  How clean your dishes and clothes are?  What allergy is the last straw for you, your child, or your pet? We need more than law.  Ethics and quality science are needed to protect all of our water systems.

Death occurs when a human is deprived of water, it takes about three days.  It is a horrid death, and cut off the water to a city for a week and everyone who does not have water stored will die.

Water is life and in this century wars will be fought over water.

Control, either by countries or corporations will control the population.

Therefore nothing is more political than water and its quality.

Because those standards determine what safe levels of certain toxins are in our drinking water. This is beyond political.

Officials are responsible for whatever happens to water and it is a political question.

Because it will cost a lot more lives than the lack of health insurance will.
