  1. Dunno the answer to this question, but he is married to a welsh girl, and his 3 kids have welsh names, Sian, Rhiannon and Deri, maybe he thought this would have been seen as biased, had he let the Welsh take the line out, who knows? Confusion played a key part I think tho! Not the best ref, the same thing happened today with the English and french game, they was allowed to take a scum after the 80mins! Different ref!

Maybe those who have connection with national side should  NOT referee because of this!

At the end of the day, Wales blew their chances and the better team won! End of!

There have been many bad decisions made by refs during this 6N campaign, for most teams, Italy, have had a lot against them!

Internationals teams at pro level need to compensate for this! Blaming the ref/officials is not a reason to lose a game!

Wales played s**t, Italy played basic rugger and won!

That's it! I love my rugby and shed a few tears, but looking back, realistically, we fecked up!

The team-more or less-that won us the 6N 2 yrs ago, is a fecking shambles!

Reminds me of the 80's when Eddie-i wanna play for England-butler was our useless captain!

  2. all are poor especially during the irish game on Saturday

Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan has declined to identify the Scottish player he says tried to choke Irish flyhalf Ronan O'Gara near the end of Saturday's Six Nations game.

Ireland's celebrations after a 19-18 victory at Murrayfield were muted by the sight of O'Gara, who scored all his team's points, lying on the turf and struggling to breathe.

"Someone tried to choke O'Gara," O'Sullivan said. "Someone had their arm around his neck, cut off his air supply and he went blue. I'd rather not say who it was.

"I believe it was deliberate. Putting your hand round someone's neck and trying to choke them is hard to do by accident."

Scotland officials said after the game there was no foul play by any of their players. O'Sullivan, who admitted he didn't see the incident, said it was up to the culprit to own up.  Funny that they didn't see a thing.

  3. Can't answer the question but have to say I have a far few Welsh mates who haven't had any problems with Chris White in the past, don't know about now and I'll wait for the dust to settle before I inquire.

A point of observation tho' Chris White told Hook you have ten seconds, (watch the clock on the replay), Wales then continue to ask whether they have time for a line out and Hook doesn't actually kick for touch until the ten seconds are up!!

Had they kicked for touch at the ten second point they would have been allowed to take the line-out and play would have continued until the ball either went out of play or a try was scored, but that's all what if!!

  4. Chris white was asked if there was time for the lineout. He said YES. He then must allow the lineout.

Not doing so brings rugby and refereeing into disrepute.

Laws state that once a lineout (or scrum) is formed and awarded it cannot be stopped with time running out on the clock.

Not only did chris say they could have the lineout, when directly asked, he interupted the lineout that was awarded. and he went back on his word as a referee, when awarding it.

He is the sole arbitor of fact. He should have overruled the "times up instructions". The times up instructions were irrellevant - because the lineout was awarded.

In short Chris made a massive series of errors, poor judgements and frankly looked lost and incompetent  at the end of the game..and his actions cost wales the match.
