Question:

Reference mother board connections?

hi,i have had to change my ATX computer case and i have fitted the mother board into this new case,when i have come to connect the connections form the case,ie harddrive led,power switch led,reset switch,power led,etc there are no marking on the board to show which connection go`s where,i have a MSI 6743 mother board,i have tried to look on the manufacturer web site but have had no look,any info would be helpfull,thanks....

  1. The MSI 6743 was used in 4 main types of motherboard by MSI based around the 865 pentium chipset.

    There are variations, but assuming that certain features remained the same, try a manual here:

    or search MSI GLOBAL website for manuals - you will need the archive download sections as only the newer 945s onwards will be listed in the main download section.

    select any of the 865 boards, have a look at the pictures etc to find the best match for yours, then download the manual and have a close look at the pins.

    Failing that it's trial and error!
