I have a small child's table with two chairs and it has a princess castle on it and I just re designed my child's room. I was wondering how I would go about painting it brown and lime green ? I have no Idea where to start or what tools I would need so if anyone has and detailed info on what I need to buy and how to do It i would really really appreciate it !!! :) :)

  1. It really depends on what the table is made of.  If it's wood, and the surface is okay (just the color/design are wrong) you can scuff sand (I'd use at least 200 or higher grit sandpaper and sand lightly so the new paint will adhere better) then put down a layer of primer and then two coats of paint.  You'll want the primer to help block the old color and to provide an even better surface for the paint to adhere to since this will probably get a lot of wear and tear.  Just follow the directions on the primer and paint cans.  For safety, since this is for kids, I'd use Mythic Paints primer and paint(http://www.mythicpaint.com) which are non-toxic.

If it's plastic, try the new Krylon paints designed for spraying over plastic.  I've used them successfully on outdoor resin furniture.  I'm not sure they come in the brown/lime you want, though.
