Ok I have

Model: Gateway 510T

Serial Number: 1100551698

Operating System: XP

My internet says its connected and appears to be but when I try an internet related program it says it isnt.

I had just reformatted then realized I had lost my Applications and Drivers disk (http://forums.techguy.org/hardware/7...g-drivers.html)

So I reinstalled http://support.gateway.com/support/d...s=Windows%20XP.

In my device manager it shows the drivers as working all except 1 which is called "Multimedia Controller". Can someone please tell me how to solve this problem? Anymore info needed feel free to ask(Just explain how to get it).

  1. Sorry I'm getting "page not found" on those links.  However, you should call Gateway and ask them for a new Drivers CD for your machine.  They may charge you for shipping it, or run through a check with you on the PC.

Sounds like you're missing the chipset driver.  Did you install it?  If you have an onboard network adapter, it will probably not work until the chipset drivers are in.
