Hello 22yooper. Thanks you so much! I didn’t see your second reply until now. I kept getting redirected to your first reply. Had I seen it on the 26th when you sent it, I wouldn’t have ended up ordering a new fridge I can’t afford right now. When I called the store where I bought the troubled fridge, they said… oh no. It’s all over. You’ll have to get a new one. And I took their word for it. But what you’re saying makes more sense. It feels like a circuit breaker problem to me. Maybe when my mate gets home, we can pull the thing out of the cabinets and get it working, and somehow convince the store (the delivery isn’t till Tuesday, but it's not the same store as the people who advised me) to cancel our order. What troubles me, knowing the back of this fridge, is that it’s a “flatback” fridge, completely encased in back for use in open-spaces… lofts etc. It’s a totally hermetic object. Hope I figure out how to get into it and find what you call the “temperature” with the two wires attached. Is that the same as the thermostat? And alternatively, find the circuit-breaker. At any rate, your help is clear and first rate! Can’t thank you enough. Sincerely, tumeric.
