Refrigerator burning rubber smell when it tries to...

Hello,

I have an old refrigerator. It started to smell like rubber burning and shut off. I turned it off and turned it on the next day. It did not turn on. A fan ran for a while, than the main motor tried to start briefly and shut off. Then the burning rubber smell came out. Any ideas what is wrong?
