Refrigerator not working but only bulb lights

hi sir . my refrigerator is not working i an unable to locate the defrost timer
i pulled relay from compressor it has coil but i can't check it as i don't know how to check it please help me my refregerator is of old kind italian made model is p32/2TA and company is eoppas please email me at [e-mail]
