Our refrigerator was working fine (fairly new) and we moved it in a pick up, laying on the side. (Pick up had a bed liner and we couldn't move it upright because it would slide. Now, the light goes on, but no fan or compressor. We were told it would work again, if we left it unplugged for 4 hours. Any suggestions as to whether or not this will work?

  1. i believe it is 24 hours, not 4.

  2. Be patient and leave off till tomorrow.

the oil has restricted the refrigerant line and will take a while to drain back down.

  3. your refrigerator needs to sit in a upright position 24 to  36 hours for all the oil to run down back to its tank for fridge to rum properly

  4. First, make sure you leave the refrigerator in the up right position for atlest 72 hours; make sure it's not plugged in at all. Double check in the back to make sure you don't find any oil residue leaking out. If you still don't get it operating after that you may need a service repair.
