Question:

Refund/Replacement of mobile?

My husband and I received a fisher-price rainforest mobile at one of our baby showers. So, we don't have a receipt for it. We've used it maybe a month now and it stopped working. It still plays music but they animals don't spin around anymore and I'm a little upset about it! So, how can I go about getting it replaced or money refunded so I can get another one?? Don't tell me to try and fix it. It's got this cheap little plastic motor in it and it just doesn't want to turn anymore.

  1. Well, if it's a gift from someone you're close to, I would simply ask them if they still have the receipt.  Depending on where they bought it, they wouldn't even need  a receipt necessarily.  For example, Target will look up your purchase in their systems if you paid with a credit card.  But if it's not someone you feel comfortable talking to about the situation, I would simply call the manufacturer and explain the situation.  Fisher Price is a well noted company, and I'm sure they would want to stay in good standing with their customers, so they may be willing to help.  It couldn't hurt to mention how much you like their products and how much faith you have in their company!

  2. Call the manufacturer...  But without proof of purchase, they may not do anything for you.
