Regally Ready tipped to win the Meydan Sprint Sponsored By Emirates Sky Cargo
Regally Ready seems to be ready to take victory in the Meydan Sprint Sponsored By Emirates Sky Cargo in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday, March 10, 2012. The winning horse will be awarded with cash prize of £67,742.
The five furlong race has attracted 15 entries and their names are: Regally Ready, Prohibit, Nocturnal Affair, Inxile, Sole Power, Margot Did, War Artist, Monsieur Joe, Mar Adentro, Invincible Ash, Murbeh, Rock Jock, Al Sharood, Moonreach and Munaddam.
It almost seems certain that the race will belong to Regally Ready, as he has been in very good form recently. He has earned five victories out of his nine outings and there was only one occasion, where he failed to make it to the top three.
However, the five-year-old gelding has never run at Meydan and the change in conditions might restrict him from winning the race. He has got very good momentum going at the moment, as he has won two out of his past three runs.
In addition to that, Steven Asmussen’s trainee will be partnered by one of the best jockeys around, Frankie Dettori, who needs no introduction at all. The veteran rider has got a terrific strike rate and his presence will force the punters to place maximum
bets on the victory of Regally Ready.
On the other hand, Robert Cowell’s trainee, Prohibit, might manage to challenge today’s favourite. He does not have a good strike rate, which will discourage the punters from placing bets on him.
The seven-year-old gelding displayed decent form at Meydan in his previous outing in February, this year. However, he could only manage to finish fourth in the end. Overall, he has managed to win nine races out of 44 attempts.
Prohibit will be ridden by veteran jockey, Jim Crowley, who is also one of the best in the business. However, he does not have a very good strike rate compared to Dettori.
Nocturnal Affair, trained by David Marnane, has got the winning momentum, after his impressive run at Meydan last month. He has got a good chance of challenging the race favourite today.
The six-year-old gelding will be partnered by Ryan Moore, who has got an impressive record in the sport.
Although there are some other good runners taking part in the race, Regally Ready seems to be unmatchable at the moment and it will not be a clever idea to bet against his victory.
