  1. Mark, Mobil's website has an area that will advise you what the manufacturer ( Honda) recommends for your Accord. In your case the site calls for 5W-20. There are many good reasons for this. First and for most it's the viscosity your car manufacturer recommends. Light weight oil pumps to critical moving parts faster during cold start-ups. It also cools moving parts more efficiently than higher viscosity oil.  Your oil pump doesen't rob you of horsepower as light weight oil pumps easier. It's a proven fact than light weight oil flows with more volume through the oil passages.  


  2. 10 --30 works

    stay away from Jiffy lube and the others like them if you like your car.
