Regarding California knife laws....?

Question

is it legal to carry a 4" folder knife in your pocket?

can you carry it concealed?

or can you clip it to the inside of your pocket?

it isn't spring assisted or a switchblade

is there a limit length for pocket folders?

It depends on where you live.  in LA or Oakland, no.  Anywhere else seems to be fine.  oh, and in CA, butterfly knives (AKA the balisong) are considered switchblades.

I'm pretty sure there is no law about carrying a knife on your person.

If you pull it on someone, threaten them with it; h**l,even hold it un packaged just walking down the street and I'm sure the cops will stop you.

You'll get a warning for the latter, a conviction for the former.
