  1. A nucleic acid is a molecule made up of nucleotides.

A nucleotide has three sub units a phosphate group, a 5 carbon sugar and one of three bases.

1.In DNA the four bases are Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Cytosine (C) and Guanine (G).In RNA Thymine is replaced by Uracil (U).

2.The 5 carbon sugar in DNA is deoxyribose and in RNA it is ribose.

    3. DNA is double stranded and the two stands are joined by hydrogen bonding between the base pairs. A with T and C with G. RNA is single stranded.

    4. RNA has three types mRNA (messenger), tRNA (transfer) and rRNA (ribosomal)

    5. DNA is confined to the nucleus bu RNA, being single stranded, can move out of the nuclear pores and move into the cytoplasm where it attaches to ribosomes.

    6. Sequences of three bases on DNA (called a TRIPLET) codes for one amino acid for protein synthesis. IN mRNA the sequence of three bases is called a CODON andin tRNA it is called an ANTICODON.

    Hope this helps!

  2. nucleic acid is the acid inside the nucleus..

DNA is Deoxyribonucleic acid and is essential in getting charactheristic inheritance and contains two RNA's.

RNA is Ribonucleic acid is only a strand of DNA

  3. nucleic acid is made up of pentose sugar , nitrogenous bases, phosphate

    Difference between DNA n RNA

pentose sugar in DNA is deoxyribose whereas in RNA it is ribose

thymine is present in DNA instead of uracil is present in RNA
