Regarding insurance...what does MIB mean?

My insurance broker said that if a MIB had not have come back on my husband and I we would not have a problem getting health insurance. Does anyone know what this means?

They keep records of medical history and 'flag' people with certain disorders; keeps them from lying in insurance applications.

Medical Information Bureau.  Medical data on millions of people are kept here.  When you apply for life, health, or disability insurance this data source was checked.  Did your ins. broker know the details of the MIB report?  You might want to ask for a copy of the report to verify for correct information on you and your husband.
