Regarding my last question about the doctor not seeing my baby?

before you people 'dictate' to me that i should not be emailing newspapers etc & just get him too the hospital...well that was this morning & i've been trying to get him seen all blooming day...read the extra details you may not be so critical of me....plus i do know how to look after a child...i have 4 & am perfectly capable of taking care of them!!

don't know your first question - but always remember we are our child's best advocate -- if one doctor doesn't help you go and keep searching!!! What you did was great!!

I dont blame you for what you did...but i may have just said s***w you, and went to another clinic or insisted the hospital take my child. i may have more resources then where you are, i dont know.

I think you maybe should have went one step higher then your doctor to issue the complaint, everyone has someone else they have to answer too.

Im not sure i would have went back to the same doctor that misdiagnosed my child to begin with, why didnt you or dont you go to the place that diagnosed it as thrush, or why didnt that place give you the treatment?

im just on Y!A for today, and i only just read your question, i never answered. but id have done the same as you, you done the right thing, a baby should always be seen even if it nothing (which im not saying it is)

dont you just hate doctors receptionists,

dont call, just walk in as an emergency. say your child needs to be seen as an emergency, and sit and wait..... if a receptionist asks whats wrong, ask to see their medical degree, or if they are trained in triage

Some people are just not very helpful and don't know how to help and support people. More pity to them!

You still haven't explained why they wouldn't see him? And why you didn't take him somewhere else if you couldn't get into your GP?

People weren't being critical, most were just giving you other options besides the GP's so that you can get help QUICKLY for your son, rather than focusing all your time and energy on fighting the cause with just one doctor's surgery.
