Question:

Regarding non-perscription color contacts?

Okay, so i photo-edited my eyes from my brown, to a really pretty green. They looked AWESOME. So, i really might try color contacts, but i have a few questions.

1 - Do you need to replace them after a certain amount of time?

2 - How much do they usually cost?

3 - Would people start like, talking about me? In the sense that i might be "trying to be fake"?

I'm not insecure about my eye color or anything, i just think it would be cool to have a different color.

Please add anything else i might have to know.

  1. I am a contact user since i was 12. Personally I wouldnt do it unless I needed to. They can be costly, and u must take care of them. I understand. I had prescription royal blue and green, and I have dark brown eyes. I couldnt tell the difference because brown is hard to change. Go to an eye dr's office and see if they will let you sample a pair. Make sure to keep them changed properly and take them out as often as directed. Good Luck!

  2. Contact lenses can last a long time if you store them properly and keep them cleaned and disinfected.  Otherwise they should be replaced every six months to a year depending on whether you get disposable or long wearing lenses.  They require an eye exam first, although there are places you can get them online without a prescription.  The cost can run anywhere from $30 and up.

My opinion is, don't do it.  They look fake and like cataracts, no matter the quality, but ultimately, that's up to you.

  3. Well i will be the positive person in this thread of answers... u should normally throw out contacts after uve used them for 2 weeks. if u don't use them everyday, u can keep them up 2 a month. if u keep them in their original package they r good til the expiration date on them. Color contacts usually cost like 30 a box. people r not gonna talk about u in a bad way, i have color contacts and ppl always compliment me on them. now the brand i would suggest to u is Freshlook Colorblends. They do actually work and make ur eye color look more natural by blending in2 ur natural color of ur eyes. but u do need 2 go 2 ur eye doctor so they can prescribe that brand to u even though u dont need vision correction. and u must understand that contacts come with a responsibility. u need 2 take care of them, clean them , dont sleep shower or swim in them. the doctor will go over stuff like that with u. Good luck, color contacts r awesome and NOT fake

btw get ur contacts from a sams club, walmart, or costco they are much much cheaper there!!! u jus need to have u prescription wit u, even if its not for vision correction
