I was not aware of the concern about Singapore and the "Baby Blues" issue during the olympics games. Can someone enlighten me?

  1. Both are unrelated. But Singapore Independence Day celebrations coincide with the Olympics. As usual, the people are treated with the same old parade of military might followed by a 3 hours boring speech by the Prime Minister. Again, he would be talking about producing more babies (babies blues) which is a perennial hot topic. The reason being Singaporeans have little opinions about themselves and are not widely read. But everybody gets animated about talking about making babies since there is s*x element involved. A good topic to bring up which the Government have no intention to resolve other than attracting foreigners to work here. Besides, schools built during the baby boom are sitting on prime lands. Now they are being demolished for lack of students. For the rest they are being re-sited with postage stamps size running fields. If necessary, the pasty skinned kids can be bussed around. For sports, the focus is on table tennis. It takes up very little space and even aunties have their chance for olympic glory.
