Regarding the Shapelle Colby drug trafficking case?...?

.....what is wrong with Australias airport officials saying "We are not in the business of spying on our employees". I know that I want every person who ever handles my bags to be spyed on and video taped so that a travesty of justice such as the aforementioned events do not happen to me. How about you?

You have (sort of) asked two questions. To the first re whether baggage handlers should be video taped, my answer is Yes, they should. Things are stolen from bags all the time and CCTV might reduce that somewhat.

The other point (about Corby) has nothing to do with any mythical travesty of justice being caused by the lack of surveillance. The "airport baggage handlers put the drugs in my boogie board bag and forgot to get it back again" defence is the biggest load of cr@p I've ever heard. No one would bother trying to get an unsuspecting mule to carry 4+ kg of grass by air between Qld and Sydney! You could carry 50 times that by car with absolutely no chance of being picked up.

Massive coincidence don't you think, that her family is up to its ears in drugs, marijuana in particular? She was probably carrying the drugs for family members because she and they thought that a young attractive girl would be more likely to get through, but that makes not a shred of difference to the case.

She did the crime and was caught red handed. Now she should serve the time and shut up.

EDIT:

Did everyone see today's news that she's now suffering from depression? They took her to the beauty parlour (I tell no lie!), but the poor thing had a relapse as soon as she returned, so now she's in some sort of hospital instead of jail!!!

This piece of trash is having a lend of everyone and uninformed people all over the world are falling for it!

You do realise that this "defence" was entirely fabricated?

The "defence" that the baggage handlers stole her baby (sorry - put the stuff in her board bag) was made up.  Imagined.  Concocted.  The reason that no effort was made by HER OWN DEFENCE TEAM to track down material to support that "defence" was that they knew that any effort would be fruitless.  It was much better to leave the allegation sitting out there as a smokescreen, and to blame everyone but themselves for not providing the "information" to support it because they knew that the "information" did not exist.

You don't need to be a Sherlock Holmes to see that neither Chappelle Corby nor any of her family are the brightest tools in the shed  & I am inclined to think that if she didn't do it , then another one of her family did !

I agree with you...airlines should be in the business of caring for passengers & part of that means monitoring the handling of luggage!

what a joke , That girl relied on her pretty face and innocent look to get sympathy from every corner possible the airport officials have shown that the weight of the board which had the drugs in it was the same when she checked it in before anyone had a chance to do anything .she is a liar and i would have thought her fake pregnancy would have shown her supporters that she is GUILTY AS CHARGED
