  1. I found it hard to understand how he was allowed to take part in Wallaby coaching. From what I hear he is still being paid as a player until the end of this season even though he has retired. Imagine if Braith was injured and he was taking time off to coach the wallabies or something else non-club related. Is it just me or does that seem strange, I mean he is officially still under contract and being paid.

So yeah there must be something in it. Buderus isn't silent and he, like Johns, is a main leader at the club. So he must have a reason to keep quiet, I'm sure it's not because he doesn't care.

  2. i say get rid of them altogether and bring back the mighty Nth Syd Bears

  3. If it was not for my son going for the knights (I am still going through therapy over it). I would agree with Parrrrris above.

  4. Bru...take a breath mate.  And quoting Wikipedia to reinforce your point only shows your lack of knowledge of what this bloke has done.

Try this on...the board put Smith in place.  Where has the board been?  They haven't overriden him because he is doing the job they didn't want to...they are making him the prick because they don't want to look like the prick.

Gorden Tallis is no Brian Smith fan - and he came out last week and said that Brian Smith knows young players and is a great young player coach.  He can get them up to speed and playing A grade footy.

He has made a living as a football coach for a while now...someone must see something in Smith.

Anyway, my belief is that Johns' silence has been so that he doesn't ruffle any feathers.  His brother is doing his bidding there, making enough noise for all ex-Knights.  Maybe his bitterness comes from having to finish his career in England and in the Shire?

The drug arrest in England won't do him any favours.

In any event, the ordinay treatment of some of the leaving players seems to have been done so they can keep the likes of Mullen - looking to the future.

  5. I think they should get a new coach.  Twenty years in the job and he still hasn't won a premiership.
