  1. Adultery is now OK.  Swapping wives is legitimate as long as the first is not producing male heirs.  The King replaces the Pope as Head of the Church from now on.  All subjects of the King are to swear fealty to him as G-d's representative on earth and will be banished if they remain Papists.

  2. Contrary to the answer above, the Catholic faith was NOT made illegal under Henry VIII : the Church in England was Catholic until Henry's death. The Mass was still in Latin and the tenets of the Catholic Church were still in place. In fact, Henry VIII bequeathed money for Masses to be said for the repose of his soul - hardly the act of a protestant!

Henry did  appoint himself Head of the Church in England (whether he had any right to do so is a different argument). It was his successors, Edward VI who swung the Church violently in the protestant corner, only to be swung in the opposite direction by Queen Mary and finally ending up "middle way" - an uneasy mish-mash of Catholic and reformed theology under Elizabeth.

  3. Made divorce legal, made the Catholic faith illegal, sent the Catholics under ground to worship. Made the King the head of the Church of England.

Caused religious wars with France Rome Spain etc.  hope that helps.

  4. Freedom from Roman Control of England.
