Question:

Regarding tire bubbles, is there any way I can relieve the pressure that is building in my tire?

I ask this because I got my vehicle in Waycross, GA and I spend Monday through Friday in Valdosta, GA. I just noticed it today and I need to know if there is anything I can do to lessen the chances of an accident until I can make it back to Waycross.

  1. The extent of the hazard of driving with a "bubble" varies.  You should stop at a Discount Tire or Schaub Tire store and have them take a look.  They may tell you it isn't serious and keep driving.  Or they may say you are in grave danger of a blowout.  If so, they might have a used tire of the right size that they can sell you cheap until you get home and replace it.  If it is fairly new the tire company you purchased it from should give you a new one, at very least at a pro rated cost since this is a defect and should be covered under their warrentee (sp? I always have trouble with that word).

  2. Tire bubbles are very serious. They indicate the steel cords in the tire are broken and the tire could blow. If you can not afford a new tire go to a tire service center and ask if they have a good take off they could put on until you get the money for a new one. Usually a fraction of the price of a new tire. If the price seems too high for a used tire wheel and deal with them...be safe!!!

  3. hi... bubbles are actually ply separation. meaning the layer with threads on it, separated to the main core of the tires... if you continue to use the tire, more separation will occure and eventually fly off distroying the vehicles fender depending on the speed at that time. so if you insist of chancing it back to waycross, your max speed should only be 30miles per hour and cross your finger that you get back safe.

  4. No man that tire is done, just take it slow if not get it replaced

  5. unless you want to have an accident I would get the tire or tires replaced before you go any farther.

  6. don't chance it replace the tire and fight them for a refund
