Regenerate (Magic the Gathering)?

Ex: I have a 2/2 with Regenerate and my opponent has a 2/2. He attacks, I block with my 2/2 regenerate and activate it's regenerate shield.

Does a creature that has been regenerated deal combat damage (ie does my 2/2 regenerate live and kill his 2/2) ???

yes im afraid so. you see what happens is the sheild activates when the creature dies. both creatures have dealt damage to each other(killing both creatures) and then your creature is removed from combat. and you can also activate a regenerate sheild as many times as you want great for absorbing mana burn.

good question i had to have a rematch because of a the same rule and a troublesome rhox.

as long as your creature wasn't tapped due to regenerating before the damage dealing step, (his creature didn't have first strike) then both kill each other, but your's regenerates, saving it from the GY.
