Reggae sumfest, where to stay>>?

Question

2 ladies, non-seasoned travelers. We are going to Montego bay for sumfest. Where is a good place to stay that will be: 1. safe for us; 2. close (if not very, very close) to the location so there will be as little travel time as possible during late hours after the party; 3. budget will be around 150 dollars the most/night.

thanks to all those who responded, but I forgot to mention that I was looking for a hotel that will be 150 dollars per night...

I am in the Montego Bay area-about 5 minutes from Sumfest. I will be able to accomodate you  ladies if the hotels are booked out (no worries-I am a police.) as my apartment has a guest room with computer/internet access and other useful amenities. Please email me if you are interested- you will also have access to your own transportation carrier once you requested. Remember there are a lot of things to enjoy during the sumfest period in and outside montego bay. Consider the proposed package and email me if you are interested.

round start of august go to nelson ledges quarry park (nlqp.com) awesome reggae fest. camping, lots n lots of "fun" stuff to do

Ok the Hotel's you can check out include The Wexford,Toby's Resort,The Gloustershire,Doctor's Cave Inn these are all on the Hip Strip aka Gloucester Ave in Montego Bay .You can also check out the Sunset Resort which is also fairly close.The thing about it is I think you should ask the Hotel your staying if they could make an arrangement with a trusted taxi man to take you to and from the venue seeing that you're 2 ladies.Good Luck in finding a room these Hotel's maybe already booked out,if they are you might have to check some Guest Houses aka Bed & Breakfast places or you could check the rates at Sandals Inn also on the Hip Strip.

www.listjamaica.com/hotels has a list of all kinds of accommodation. if you search now come all inclusives may have special rates. Places are going fast but try beating the time.
