The Indiana Pacers icon was welcomed on stage by Cheryl Miller, Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson....
Reggie Miller was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday and the welcome could not have been better with his own sister Cheryl Miller – a 1995 inductee herself - present on stage.
It was a proud moment for the Miller family as Reggie and Cheryl became the first brother and sister pair to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Reggie gave credit to Cheryl in his reception speech.
"I just so happened to live across the hall from absolutely, positively the greatest women's basketball player ever," Miller said. "I'm proud to say I am not on this stage if it wasn't for you, Cheryl Deann. We rode your shoulders
all the way here. So thank you for your help."
Apart for being a historic night for the Miller family, Friday’s ceremony was also memorable for UCLA and the Indiana Pacers – the team Reggie played for all of his 18 year NBA Career.
Along with Reggie, Don Barksdale and Jamaal Wilkes – both UCLA representatives in this year’s class were also inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.  Mel Daniels – a Pacers legend was also inducted before Miller made
his way onto the stage.
“They set the standard for what all great Pacers team have achieved," said Miller
Miller’s introductory party was not just limited to his sister as two NBA legends; Magic Johnson and Charles Barkley were also present on stage.
Famous as the Knick killer in his time, Reggie's induction into the Hall of Fame is highly justified and even though he did not win a NBA Championship in his career, he may possibly go down as one of the most clutch shooters ever.
He made 2560 three pointers in his career – a record which was later crossed by Ray Allen in 2011.
Apart from being a good long range shooter, Miller will also be remembered for his gritty nature on the court and the New York Knicks – a team he scored 8 points against in 8.9 seconds - would surely vouch for his personality.
