Region DVD error player?

Question

I want to play a chinese DVD in my DVD player but it doesn't work, it reads disc error. Is it possible to copy the DVD onto a DVD-R on my computer so it will work on the DVD player?

I am not sure about this. I think that there is a slight chance that this will happen, since in the end it may just be the file formats that drive the movie, but I think you may have a better chance trying to hook up your TV to your computer if your computer can play the disc. You may want to try that method, and if that doesn't work, try to hook up your PC via VGA cable or other means to watch the DVD on your TV.
