Regional Airline Question? Is it possible to get hired with only 285TT 32ME.. Multi, Instrument, Commercial?

Im looking at trying to get hired anywhere in the world flying so long as it has two engines in order to make my way to the regionals..I only have about 285TT 32ME.. I hear rumors or regionals hiring with not much more than this..?? If not where could I find a twin job? Thanks!!

  1. Look at these minimuns...

    All they require are an Commercial or ATP's liscence and a multi engine rating.  I would tell you to get into regionals until you get enough hours to go to Southwest or United.  They pay $150 per hour more.

  2. Depends where you live I guess. Some places are pretty 'desperate'. But where I am its still at least 1000TT with 200+ multi to get into a smaller to mid sized Turbo-prop.

Try Piedmont.  They, and other regional are hiring with the commercial pilot minimums.  If you decide you don't want to stay there, you could move on to a better regional or somewhere else after you gain a bit of turboprop time.  I would apply everywhere, as you never know what they might do.  Where in the World do you live?  I wouldn't take a contract job overseas if you are an American, as it just makes the background check more difficult.  It's not easy to answer your question without knowing anything about you except for your flight times.  Good luck.
