Regionals question! plz help?

okay so do you have to be younger than 13 to compete in them? please tell me as much as you know about them and competing in them.

  1. No, but it depends on the level you want to compete in.  Some levels have age limits.  I think you have to be younger than 13 to compete in Juvenile.  That's why you find Open Juvenile at so many competitions - that's for those older than 13.

    The qualifying levels are Senior, Junior, Novice, Intermediate, and Juvenile.  Some regionals (it depends on the host club) have events for Pre-Pre, Preliminary, and Pre-Juv, but they aren't qualifying - meaning that there are no Sectionals events or Nationals for those levels.

    I watched part of a Regionals comp last fall, and some of the groups were huge.  I think Intermediate and Juvenile girls had the most skaters in them.  They had to have qualifying rounds to eliminate skaters.


  2. There is no under age limit from my knowledge. But if you get up into Nationals and make it to Worlds, and you are under 14 I think, then you have to compete at the junior worlds, and if you place in that then you can compete in the senior worlds.
