Registered school letter?

Hi

My daughter has been skipping school.I was told to pick up a registered letter from the school.What does that usually mean in this case?

  1. Yeah. I agree. sounds to me as if they are telling you your daughter can no longer go to school. its a formality, but, here's my question. What are you doing to STOP IT? I hate to say this, but, it sounds as if you are doing nothing. That's just me reading your very short and really not very informative question./


  2. Well, depending on your community, this could be the start of court proceedings.

    A registered letter will be proof for the school district that they notified you of your daughter's consistent absences.  Some communities are now fining parents who do not make sure their kids attend school.  If this isn't the case in your town, the school probably just wants to make sure legally that they have proof they alerted you to your child's absences.

  3. Means she is gettin in trouble! It could be a warning letter or an expulsion lettter. They will probably talk to you to let you know.
