Registering for the Baby Shower?

Do I need to register at more than one place? I am already registered at Target. Babies R Us is so far from where we live. We registered for all the big & small items at Target. Should that be good enough? Also how often do people actually buy off the registery?

we registered for all of our big items at babies r us and all of the other items at target so people had 2 choices. About 1/2 of my guests bought off of the registry...all my friends went baby crazy with clothes, diapers, and wipes from wherever..my family was really the group that used the registry.

I registered at Target only. I got most of what I had registered for. I would say to go check Target a week or two before shower as they change stock and don't notify you. That way if they have changed you can update your list.

And do register, lots of people will get what is on the registry.

i just registered at Babies r Us.  There aren't many other places around me where you can get baby stuff, so that's why I decided to go there...there were some particular things that I wanted that were available at Babie's R Us and I just ended up buying things for myself online.

1 place would be sufficient as most people won't buy items off the registry anyways.  I didn't have a baby shower, but I remember for my wedding I got only 2 items from my registry!

the best thing is don't register as most people don't go buy them cause they think they are being told what to buy and may not have much money to spend and then don't come to the shower cause they feel bad they could not get you something on your register

i never had a register cause i did not want people to think i was to good for what they could afford to buy

I think registering at Target should be good enough. I registered at Walmart and Geoffrey's and only one person bought us something from Geoffrey's. Most people have a Target. The only reason you might register at Babies R Us would be if some of the people you are inviting live far away and don't have a Target in their town. The only reason I registered at both was to give people a choice of where they wanted to shop. You might try creating a registry on-line at Babies R Us. Good luck!

Some do and some don't.  Never plan on getting exactly what you wanted though.
