Registering my car!?

How do i get my car regisitered? i dont know who has the tag i dont know who has the registration it just sorta disssapeared after my gram died, it was her car that she handed down to me what do i do?

You need the title for the car and then will take that down to the DMV for registration and transfer of ownership.  Her estate will have to grant you the car on paper with what is called a power of attorney.  You will get a new tag once you get insurance (which you will also need) and complete the DMV title work.

Go to DMV with the license plate or VIN number and tell them want to transfer to your name or want to pay for registration.
