Question

Hi, I'm 34 weeks with twin girls. And I am having trouble deciding on names. I have a few combos, can you tell me which combos you like best? And feel free to mix and match!

Well Congratulations! I have twin girls, Addison Riley and Emma Rose. Anyway, I just LOVE Talia Rose and Madisyn Grace! I love to spelling of Madisyn! CUTE!!! And Talia is adorable!!

I like Emma Kate and Madisyn Grace.  Very unique way of spelling that name..cute!  I have Madison Hope and Jacey Paige :) I'm gonna throw in a few more:  Carleigh Brooke, Macie, Payton, Cadence, Bailey, Hannah, Raygan, Taylor, Landry, Kendall, Miley, & Avery Layne are cute names too.  All of the names are nice though.  Congratulations!

There are a million negative things I could say about Madisyn, but I won't 'cause I've said it a million times before. Simply stated: Madison is masculine, Madison is almost the most used name in America, and Madisyn is misspelled.

Grace is a filler middle name, but it's still pretty. :]

Addison is masculine, meaning "the son of Adam". Spelling it wrong doesn't make it feminine, it just makes it annoying to live with.

Emma Kate was actually going to be my cousin's name, but they went with Lily Anna. It's really cute, but Emma is very, very popular. She won't be the only one in her class, I can promise you.

Abigail is dated and stale and Gracelyn is very trendy and immature sounding. I can't picture a 45 year old Gracelyn.

Lane is very masculine and hardly used on girls.

That leaves Stella Rose and Emmeline Rose, which are gorgeous. Stella Rose and Emmeline Grace would be very nice.

Of your names, my favorites are Stella, Rose, Grace, Kate, Talia, and Emmaline.  I find it a bit strange that most of your combinations contain one trendy name (Madisyn, Addisyn, Gracelyn) and one classic, feminine name (Stella, Emmaline, and Talia).  I agree with you that twin names shouldn't match, but I like it when they're both in the same style.  

The only two names on your list that are in the same classic style (Abigail Layne and Emma Kate) are also in the top 10 right now, so I tend to avoid them.  

If you'll allow me to re-work some of your pairings, I like:

Stella Grace

Rose Madeleine

Both Stella and Rose have a lovely retro vibe, and they're very uncommon as first names.  They don't match, but they belong to a similar era, so they complement each other well.  I chose Madeleine as Rose's middle name instead of Madisyn because it sounds more classic.

First, i really don't like Gracelyn- sounds too much like Graceland- where Elvis lived!.. anyways I like Madison (not so much spelled with the y) Madison Grace is nice.  I think Abigail is ok but gail seems like an old lady name so i like Anabelle better.  Have you considered Faith as a middle name or Hope for the other baby? then you could have a Grace and Faith, Hope, Love, Joy.... that would be nice.  just a thought.

i think that two first names with the same first letter is so cliche for twins so the same middle name or same Middle initial! i love the name Emmline since i saw it here, it is a beautiful name. Im sure these beautiful girls will have beautiful names picked by thier mother and welcomed by their older brother.
